PEDIGREE

A TRUE BLACK COLT WITH CHROME!!
We are proud to introduce "Jayden," Foxdale Farm's one and only 2009 foal
by Gatsby, out of Lori's treasured Thoroughbred mare, Scooter.

Jayden is a TRUE BLACK with a perfect star and 2 opposite white socks.  He is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, with a very nice head, a gorgeous neck, long legs, an uphill build, and a very elegant presence.  He is incredibly friendly with a funny & entertaining personality.  We are so proud of this cross and are confident that he will be an outstanding representation of both his sire and dam in both the trainability and talent departments with a TON of beauty as icing on the cake.  We could not be happier with the result of this breeding.

HANSEL
  < Gatsby  x  Miss Scooter xx >

BWP Premium Foal
PEDIGREE

We would like to introduce our very first and very own homebred colt, Hansel, a.k.a. “Hans.”  He is out of my (Lori’s) beloved Thoroughbred mare, Scooter.  Hans is the result of many years of anticipation for what Scooter would be capable of producing in a foal.  Although I really wanted to breed Scooter because I absolutely adore her and want to keep a part of her with me for years to come, I also wanted to breed her because of her many admirable traits.  She exudes femininity and elegance.  She is spirited, intelligent and kind, and she has been an amazing friend through seemingly countless life changes and situations.   She is compact in her build and powerful in her gaits with great freedom in the shoulder and gorgeous elasticity in her movement.  She has taken my breath away more times than I can count when I’ve watched her floating in the pasture with her head held high, snorting with her proud “diva” attitude.  In breeding her to Gatsby I hoped to improve her neck set, add a little more bone and substance, get a little more suspension in the trot and a slightly more quiet disposition.  Hansel is EVERYTHING I could have wanted and more.  For starters he is very, very handsome.  He has Gatsby’s trademark sweet disposition and willingness to learn, an extraordinary uphill balance, a beautiful neck-set and face, straight, long, correct legs, great shoulder freedom, and the hind-end suspension I wanted.  He will be very “typey” and modern-looking.

UPDATE  -  JULY 2007

I am increasingly excited about our colt, Hansel.  He is gorgeous in his movement and presence.  Wow!  Yesterday I put him and the mare in a round pen where he could show me his stuff.  He is very uphill in his balance (he's actually extraordinarily well balanced), has a gorgeous neck-set, and this amazing loftiness in his way of going.  He not only floats, he seems to "boing!"  I wish I had a better way of putting it.  But I think he's gonna make an amazing dressage horse.  He is typey and light, very elegant and majestic when he goes.  In the stall he is all about hugs, kisses, and scratches - a typical Gatsby foal.  I will keep updating you with pictures, etc.  He is EVERYTHING I wanted out of this mare, and I always knew she had the capacity to produce a lovely foal.

UPDATE  -  AUGUST 2007

Hans has "show horse" written all over him.  He's just really, really handsome!  He is very correct, displays his sire's same gorgeous neck-set, has straight, perfectly proportioned legs, a strong loin connection, an uphill, compact build, and strong, round hindquarters.  His features are both masculine and refined and he has a lot of presence.  He shows beautiful reach through his shoulders, natural suspension, and displays a great, uphill balance in his movement.  Hans is also somewhat of a character and has a funny personality.  He is smart, learns quickly and loves people.  He loves to be brushed and scratched and will stand there all day as long you're willing to keep brushing and touching him.  He will most likely mature to 16.1 or 16.2 and will bring tons of beauty and plenty of presence and talent to whatever discipline he embarks upon.

  HADLEY
< Gatsby  x  Pride of Kildare xx >

BWP Premium Foal
PEDIGREE

Hadley was born with very long legs and excellent bone.  He has a great, correct conformation, already shows a beautiful, cadenced trot and an effortless, floating, balanced canter.  Hadley was built to be an athlete.  His dam was a very successful racehorse and with both her and Gatsby's athleticism, Hadley should be able to excel in any sport horse discipline.  Although Hadley is a little shy, he is very sweet and easy to work with and loves human interaction.  Hadley is going to be tall!  It will be awhile before he grows into those legs.  He will be a beautiful partner in the show ring and is already starting to shed out to be dark bay with three white markings.
